“You never know exactly how much ammo you have in your gun, so you end up having those ‘oh crap’ moments where you run around the corner to shoot at enemies, pull the trigger, and nothing happens. It gives the player a brief moment of panic.”

There is a nice video on youtube about tanks in ro2 hos

John Gibson's interview to at Igromir 2010 part2

sadly there are some bad news: (in my opinion)
 • the tankers spawn in the tanks and die in it, they can't move out  :0d:
 • at the release there will be only two tanks in the game. As the developer mentioned in the video, it takes ten times more to create a tank as in the original game  :0l: :0d:
 • i hope the modding community wil work on some more tanks...
btw. the tank chamber and the animation looks awesome  :0f:

@Cat;

Not being able to get out of a tank is a blessing in my eyes. It will give you a real immersive feeling of not screwing up your tank because you cant get out. It will finally make an end of bailers which you have a lot in fh2.

I rather have two superb modeled interiors, which give you a feeling of actually being inside a tank, then 20 "different" tanks with simplistic 2D sights.

New preview which reveals more ingame features:

Yeah magnus i know what you mean, but i think there were other possibilitys to avoid a fast bailing out.
For example: at first the crew must open the hatch and than they can get out on top of the tank and then they could go away.

Correct, but i would love to see more tanks in the same quality, as they was shown in the movie  :0f:
