Punkbuster keeps kicking me out of the server

As said in the topic subject, punkbuster keeps kicking me out of the server after playing just a minute or so. This problem doesn't occur with any other server, just yours. The only way to play on your server is to play a couple of minutes on another server and then come back to your server.

I've updated my punkbuster and tried playing without my firewall but nothing has helped.

Is the problem at my end or is there something wrong with the server?

Well, it could be that the PB autoupdate on our side screwed up if you have no problems on other servers. We will look into this, please report back if your problem is solved or if you still have problems.

I can't remember the exact message, but it was something about a connection error of punkbusterB.exe. Sometimes it complains about a heartbeat problem of punkbusterB.exe.

This is about the Forgotten Hope 2 server. I first posted this thread on the Forgotten Hope -section as I didn't notice that there was a Support-section. (Sorry about that)


Now, a small status update. I just tried whether the punkbuster works or not on the empty server and it seemed to work properly. It didn't kick me at all even after two minutes of playing. I'm not sure whether the fact that the server was empty has somehow something to do with that. I'll report again if I start encountering problems again.

Try this;

Download pbsvc:
http://www.evenbalance.com/downloads/pbsvc/pbsvc.exe

and pbsetup:
http://websec.evenbalance.com/downloade ... php?file=1

1. Run pbsvc and uninstall pb services then reboot.

2. Run pbsvc again but now reinstall pb services.

3. After this run pbsetup, add bf2 to the games list and check for updates.

Hopefully this will resolve your pb problems.

Didn't help. It's kicking me off again. It complains that PunkbusterB.exe initialization failed.

I've had the problem for quite a long time now.  It has been like this since 2.26 at least.

You may want to re-install BF2 and FH2.....

Oh god, it's going to take ages to download all the necessary files. I think it might be easier for me if I just switched to another server...

Google and Download "pbsetup.exe" (658kB) and run it. With this tool you can update your version to actual one for all games that you have installed using Punkbuster.
